Colour Block your Plate

Filed under: Colour Block your Plate — admin @ 2:13 pm

For all those fashionistas out there, you know colour blocking is a key trend this autumn, bright red trousers, coats and nail polish, the brighter the better. So I think it’s time to take the fashion out of the wardrobe and into the fridge.

Start colour blocking your plate! There are now some fantastic colourful seasonal products out there such as butternut squash, courgettes, kale, Swedes, oranges, peaches or figs. And even better, if you like to munch on your carrot sticks at lunchtime, you can now follow the latest trends and nibble on some purple or yellow carrots. The latest colour blocking trend in the food aisle. The benefits you get from adding a bit of colour to your plate is the high amount of nutrients such as Vitamin C, A and E,
a full dose of antioxidants and lots of fibre. And since the Indian summer now turns into autumn you want to make sure you boost your immune system as much as you can. And you’ll look so much better in your bright red trousers.

Check out some delicious immune boosting recipes in our recipe section.

And for some colour blocking food inspiration to check what’s in season, visit: http://eattheseasons.co.uk/

I’m off to the supermarket to buy some purple carrots!

See you there,
