Nutrition Mission SIGG Water Bottle – Why choose a SIGG Instead of a plastic bottle?

Nutrition Mission SIGG Water Bottles

Why do I need a water bottle?

Water, the elementary building block of life, is simply everywhere. This crystal-clear liquid makes up more than 50 percent—and in some stages of development even 70 percent—of our human bodies. Our cells require water to regulate our blood flow and body temperature, to transport nutrients and eliminate toxins. Adults need 30-35 millilitres per kilogram of body weight, so if you weigh 73 kilograms your daily requirement is 2.55 litres of water, 73 x .35 = 2.55. Thanks to its excellent quality in many regions of the developed world, water is a great thirst quencher—with no calories. And water is never the same, always reflecting the layers of rock it penetrated on its way through the ground, absorbing on its way the numerous minerals and micronutrients that make it so precious for our bones, tissues, hormones, enzymes and blood. Good for you if your taste buds are sensitive enough to taste the subtle differences caused by these minerals. The nasty taste of acetaldehyde, however, is noticeable to everyone. This chemical is leached into the water by single-use PET bottles which have not been treated with a specific chemical blocking agent.

Why choose a Nutrition Mission SIGG Drinking Bottle?

Nutrition Mission SIGG bottles offer resilience and durability, they are Swiss made from a single piece impact extrude aluminium design which is unbeatable for longevity.
Nutrition Mission bottles, made by Sigg, are chosen for their near unbreakable design, and the versatility they offer, being able to carry the full range of fluids including hot drinks for cold winter walking. The tough exterior is matched by equal robustness on the inside, with the lining able to withstand prolonged exposure to the acids in fruit juices and carbonated beverages, whilst also being suitable for alcoholic drinks, tea and coffee. The lining is baked on and is designed not to chip or crack, even if the bottle is dented, something which only the most brutal treatment is able to achieve. It is the solidity of the design, both inside and out, which sees Nutrition Mission bottles enjoying a good 10 to 20 years of use, far exceeding that of plastic bottles which are lucky to survive a couple of years.

Completely BPA and phthalate free, the liner ensures the contents of the bottle remain neutral to taste with no residue and no matter what punishment the bottle is put through
From an ecological point of view, this makes sense as they ensure that the raw aluminium is obtained from environmentally and socially acceptable sources. Moreover, the water bottles can be recycled at the end of their very long useful life. Aluminium can be reprocessed time and time again without losing any of its valuable material properties. And since recycling requires only five percent of the energy used for the initial production of aluminium, this adds up to enormous energy and cost savings.

At Sigg, a total of 20 percent of the energy they use comes from renewable sources, and they attach great importance to sustainability and credibility: the packaging is made of ultra-thin paper and the majority of their products are transported by Swiss Federal Railways, which incidentally obtains a total of 75 percent of its energy needs from renewable sources.
Sigg demonstrates that the Swiss quality of construction of water carriers far exceeds the standards of other top name aluminium bottle manufacturers which is why they were chosen by Nutrition Mission. Designed to stand the test of time, they offer exceptional value for money and with the right care can last a lifetime of use.

Nutrition Mission SIGG or plastic drinking bottle, which is best?

Polycarbonate plastic bottles have been shown to contain BisPhenol-A (BPA), which is an environmental, fake oestrogen. Scott Belcher, PhD, associate professor of pharmacology and cell biophysics and his team from University of Cincinnati (UC) conducted an in-depth study, the results of which were published in 2008, into BPA and its effects on the human body and found that any temperature change to plastic bottles, new or old, would cause them to leach BPA into the contents.

These fake oestrogens have the capability of upsetting the balance of the body’s own oestrogen levels – an excess of oestrogen has been shown as a driver of cancer so avoiding BPA, as well as phthalates, is a must. For more information on the impact of oestrogen on our health please read Oestrogen – The Killer In Our Midst by Chris Woollams M.A. (Oxon).
Nutrition Mission bottles have been made from aluminium and then coated with a high quality lining that contains no BisPhenol-A or phthalates so are completely safe for you to use.

Body Composition Analysis

Body Composition Analysis

What is Body Composition Analysis?

In just a few seconds we can determine your internal health using body composition analysis. This accurate measurement will determine the quality and quantity of your muscle, the amount of fat within your body and your hydration status both in and out of your cells. These figures can then be used to determine current and long-term health, and to tailor your individualized wellness plan based around diet, lifestyle and supplementation. Lean muscle tissue helps you to burn calories even when you’re sleeping, therefore the more muscle you have the more calories you burn.

How Does It Differ From Weighing Scales?Body Composition Analysis Scales

When we stand on the weighing scales, we cannot see what is going on inside, we may be disheartened by weight gain even when we are exercising hard. Body impedance analysis (BIA) uses a low dose of electrical current to assess body composition. These results together with other health measurements are reported on and interpreted to intervene and prevent long-term chronic disease.

Where Can I Get A Body Composition Analysis?

Do you want to feel fabulous? Do you want to reduce your risk of chronic disease? Body composition analysis is now available with Nutrition Mission at Jo’s Coventry clinic. If you would like to arrange a test then please call 0844 504 8338 or email info@NutritionMission.co.uk

How Much Does It Cost?

A body composition assessment is included within a full consultation at Jo Gamble’s Coventry Clinic.  If you were to get a body composition analysis report at an independent consultant it would cost approx £30.

Call us now and let us help you to achieve optimum health.
